Stele and Obelisk

"And he and his brethren and his father's house were valiant, and they overcame the enemies of Israel, and assured him of their liberty: and they engraved on the boards of brass, and set them among the steles that were kept in mount Zion . "                                                                                                        (1 Maccabees 14,26) Steles and obelisks Steles, for the most part, are tall stones, taller than broad, made for commemorative purposes, demarcation of territory or in homage to something or someone. Usually have inscriptions, drawings or are sculpted representing something. Obelisks are elongated quadrangular stones taken from monoliths, pyramidal ends at their ends, used for territorial purposes, for commemorative purposes or in homage to something or someone. Its majority is full of Hieroglyphics. Obelisks are essentially stelae that have characteristics that depict a bit of a traditional stela, by having at its top a pyramid or pyramidal ending. No Bible citation was found relating the obelisks to the "osiris phallus". Only condemnation by dedication to the solar gods (Isaiah 17, 8 / Jeremiah 43, 13). That is, the association they make of an obelisk to the male genital organ is fanciful, totally superstitious, as credible as the traditions of pagan cultures scattered throughout the world. The obelisks are the result of an "evolution" in the architecture of the Egyptian benben, a stone consecrated to the mount, built in the solar temple of Heliopolis in Egypt. (See if the stelae are also the result of the Egyptian benben.) These monuments, although also consecrated and worshiped in pagan rites, either before they acquire the form represented, during, or after, when finalized, or when dedicated or worshiped, never ceased to be stones, wood, earth, sand and dust. Just as there is no life in the sacred images carved by Christians, but rather the representation of something or someone, so there is no life in these monuments carved by the ancient peoples, whether pagan of pagan origin or of Hebrew origin. There are examples of the images, the Supreme and Only God condemns that these monuments be made and offered to the gods. "You shall not make idols, you shall not make statues or stelae, and you shall not make any stone in your land adorned with figures, that you may bow down to it, for I am the Lord your God."                                                                                                          (Leviticus 26: 1) "And he shall destroy the obelisks of the temple of the sun in Egypt, and shall give all the temples of their gods to the flames."                                                                                                         (Jeremiah 43:13) "and he will no longer look at what his fingers did (the sacred stakes and the stelae in the sun)."                                                                                                            (Isaiah 17,8) Considering the records of the Holy Scriptures, it is evident that a stela was consecrated to God; "And it came to pass on the morrow, that Jacob took the stone, and laid his head upon it, and set it on a stele, and poured oil on it, and gave the name of Bethel unto this place which was formerly called Luz."                                                                                                       (Genesis 28: 18-19) * Bethel (house of God) "I am the God of Bethel, where thou hast consecrated me a stele, and hast vowed me: now, go, depart from hence, and return into the land of thy family."                                                                                                         (Genesis 31, 13) and an obelisk was dedicated to him; "At that time there will be an altar erected to the Lord in the midst of Egypt, and at his borders an obelisk dedicated to the Lord." And they will serve as a monument to the Lord in the land of Egypt. will send him a savior, a defender who will set them free. "                                                                                                        (Isaiah 19: 19-20) also reveals to us that these monuments are directly or indirectly linked to the One God through the prophets; "And Moses wrote all the words of the Lord: and the next day he built an altar at the foot of the mountain, and set up twelve steles for the twelve tribes of Israel."                                                                                                           (Exodus 24: 4) "Jacob built a stele over his grave: it is the stela of Rachel's tomb, which still exists today."                                                                                                          (Genesis 35,20) Thus, when done by the hands of the Hebrew overthrow, we can affirm on biblical basis that these monuments (steles and obelisks) like the sacred images, were constructed and offered of correct form, not displeasing to God.
